How to play Caribbean 21

Before starting a Blackjack Caribbean 21 game, the player has to first of all place a bet so that after the player puts down the wager, the dealer would deal out 2 cards to the player faced up.

The dealer will equally deal out 2 cards for himself. If the total card value if the player is closer to the magic number 21, more than those of the dealer's cards, the player will then win the blackjack and receive as much as s/he had placed as wager.

The player thus wins the Caribbean 21 game but only if the dealer should bust. One of the major variants of Caribbean 21 Blackjack is that it allows a player the ability to divide any 2 initial cards.

Caribbean 21 also allows a player to hit a re-double after doubling although the player risks losing all ties in the course of the game. An Ace card is valued as 1-point card while all the other cards have values measured the same way as conventional blackjack. That means 2 to 9 will be counted with their original values. As for Tens and face cards, they will be counted 10. The player receives 2 cards faced up but the dealer only gets a card that's also faced up. There is no hole card in Caribbean 21 Blackjack.

Players may split, stand, surrender, hit or double. Doubling is sometimes allowed for as many times as a player wishes to act. Caribbean 21 players may also re-double and double after they split.

Splitting may be made on any 2 cards and one can surrender at any time they want. However, if a player chooses to surrender, they must forfeit half of the total bet. In Caribbean 21 blackjack, the dealer will then win all the ties. If a player gets 1 Ace and 2 10-value cards, the hand will be taken to a Caribbean 21. That game will also be regarded to be more than all the other 21-point hands.

Caribbean 21 games pay 3:2 but the rest of the winning hands pay 1:1. Caribbean 21 is played as an 8-deck blackjack game that is very interesting to play due to the major variations it has from the usual blackjack game.

Some of these changes give an extra chance for any player to win, but some of these same changes benefit the dealer instead. New rules are regularly being added to existing ones but the valid rules of Caribbean 21 can only be found within the four walls of Casinos.
